The lower control arm connects to the frame by a control arm shaft and or bushing. The arm spans out to the spindle or knuckle support and is connected with a ball joint or a pin and bushing. In many applications a lower control arm works in unison with an upper control arm, which is called a double wishbone suspension. Control arms typically house wearable suspension parts. The inner part of the control arm will attach to the frame by a shaft and or bushings. The outer end will have a replaceable ball joint or lower outer pin and bushing.
